1、COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION DISH, CULTURE, PETRI, STERILE, PLASTIC, DISPOSABLE This comercial item description shall be used in preference to Federal Specification NNN-D-3358. This commercial item description covers 100 x 15 m size plastic petri culture dishes with covers, that are sterile and dispo

2、sable. Salient characteristics: Petri cul ture dishes shall be in the following types: Type I (uncompartmented) and Type II (compartmented). The Type II (compartmented) petri cul ture dishes shall be in the following classes: Class 1 (with two-sectional dividers) and Class 2 (with three-sectional di

3、viders). Petri cul ture di shes shall be fabricated from polystyrene that chal 1 be cl ear and transparent, and free of toxic lubricants and other additives which would adversely affect the growth of bacterial cultures. Petri cul ture dishes shall be circular and shall consist of bottom sections (i

4、.e. the dishes) and flanged covers. The bottom sections (dishes) shall provide for a uniform media depth and shall sit flat on plane and level surfaces. The dividers in the class 2 bottom sections shall be an integral part of the dishes. the bottom sections by using one hand. The covers shall fit ov

5、er and be easily removed from The surfaces of the petri culture dishes shall be able to accept clear and clean markings with a wax or crayon-type pencil. The diameter of the rims of the bottom sections shall be 89 - + 2 millimeters (m). inside depth shall be at least 10 mm. The petri culture dishes

6、shall be sterile. The method and efficwy of sterilization shall be acceptable to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The Workmanship. The petri culture dishes shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or impair their serviceability. Unit. Package (PG). One package containing

7、 five hundred petri dishes (twenty-five bags of twenty dishes each), as specified, constitutes one unit. The bag containing the twenty dishes, shall be a sealed plasic bag which will maintain sterility until manually opened. Shipping container shall contain one unit. Contractor certification. The co

8、ntractor shall certify that the product, offered meets the salient characteristics of this escription and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same as the product sold in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the
