Scope1.1 This specificati
3、on covers bare bunch-stranded conductors made from round copper wires, either uncoated or coated with tin,lead, or lead-alloy for use as electrical conductors (Explanatory Note 1 and Explanatory Note 2).1.2 Coated wires shall include only those wires with finished diameters and densities substantial
4、ly equal to the respectivediameters and densities of uncoated wires.1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in eachsystem may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. C
5、ombining values from thetwo systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.1.3.1 For conductor sizes designated by AWG or kcmil, the requirements in SI units have been numerically converted fromcorresponding values, stated or derived, in inch-pound units. For conductor sizes designated by S
6、I units only, the requirements arestated or derived in SI units.1.4 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardizationestablished in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendation
