2、COPEThe material defined by this sp ecification is a waterborne interior bakingpaint for plastic parts.2. APPLICATIONThis spe cification was released originally for material used as one coatbaking paint for various interior applications.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform t

3、o the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStanda rd Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedth erein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INF

4、RARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept o

5、n file at thedesignated material lab oratory. All samples shall produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONINGAll test values indicated herein are based on ma terial conditioned ina control led atmosphere of 23 +/- 2

12、e cleaned by an acceptablepr ocess, e.g. power wash, to remove mold releasing agents,fingerprints, oils, dirt and moisture.3.6.3 Primer (not mandatory, only if required.)Application of a primer surfacer, film thickness and bakingas specified in the relevant material specification.3.6.4 Topcoat appli

13、cationDry film thickness: 15 - 25 micrometre;Flash off time: 5 minutes;Baking: 20 minutes at 80 C (Object temperature).3.6.5 Ageing:Test panels prepared under this specification shall be agedfor at least 72 h at 23 +/- 2 C or 16 h at 43 +/- 2 C beforetesting for resistance properties.3.7 APPEARANCEC

The topcoatmust be compatible with all related materials.3.10 SUPPLIERS RE

17、color, processing or labelling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the propose

18、d changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford apply tothe mat erials addressed by this document. The restrictions ared

19、efined in Engineering Material Specification WS S-M99P9999-A1, unlessa different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) is specified on the engineeringdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresponsible Materials Engineeri ng acti

20、vity. Suppliers desiring approval ofthe ir materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test re

21、ports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtest specimens for Ford evaluation. In addition to meeti ng

22、the requirementsof thi s specification, the materials will be assessed for suitability forintended applications as part o f the approval process. Upon approval, thematerial will be added to the Engineering Material Approved Source List.5. GENERAL INFORMATIONThe information given below is provided fo
