This comercial item description covers one type of phoropter (refractor) for determining the refractive error in the human

2、eye, the comercial ophthalmic instrument arm such as made by Reichert or Reliance. It shall be suitable for mounting on Salient characteristics: Shall consist of a series of spherical lens powers from at least +16.75 diopters through 0.00 to at least -19.00 diopters in successive steps of 0.25 diopt

3、ers each and means of presentation to each eye individually or both eyes simultaneously. Shall have cylindrical lens minus powers from 0.00 to not less than -7.50 diopters in successive steps of not more than 0.25 diopters each. of auxillary plug-in or flip-up. type cylinders may be furnished. cylin

4、der power shall be from zero to -6.00D, one pair of -2.00D plug-in lenses to provide extensions to -8.00D and one pair of plug-in lenses to provide 0.12D increment. Below -2.50 diopters, 2 pairs As an alternate, Shall have axis protractor, graduated in units of not more than 5 degrees, Shall consist

5、 of paired loupes containing Risley rotary prisms, cross cylinders and maddox rods. Maddox rods shail consist of one red and one white lens mounted in paired loupes, or in an auxiliary lens wheel. zero to 20 prism diopters for each eye in steps of not more than 2 prism diopters each. shall be gradua
