Without this information, a specification of works as required in 7 ff., 7 EU ff. or 7 VS ff. of VOB/A (DIN 1960)

23、 cannot be properly drawn up. This information does not form part of the contract. The specification of works shall, in particular, include the following information as and when applicable. 0.1 Site information 0.1.1 Type and quality of subgrade. 0.1.2 Depth and types of foundation and constructiona

24、l details of, and loads from, neighbouring structures. 0.1.3 Type and condition of existing surrounds. 0.2 Details of execution of work 0.2.1 Pavement construction. 0.2.2 Purpose of road, type of use, climatic factors. 0.2.3 Traffic type and load, cleaning method, local factors. DIN 18318:2016-09 6 0.4 Details of associated tasks and special tasks No details are required supplementary to those given in DIN 18299, subclause 0.4. 0.5 Accounting of works In the specification of works, accounting of works shall be based on the following units, accounted for separately accordi

34、ng to type, materials and dimensions: 0.5.1 Improvement of subgrade (by compaction): by area (m2). 0.5.2 Producing the roadbase to the specified level, slope and flatness: by area (m2). 0.5.3 Placing of pavement: placing of setts or slabs: by area (m2), accounted for separately according to bond pat

35、tern (e.g. laid in segmental curves or to a given pattern), cleaning of removed setts or slabs: by area (m2), accounted for separately according to type of sub-base and joint filling material, dressing, trimming or otherwise working of setts or slabs for paving edges or surrounds: by length (m), for

36、 paving against any inserts or at recesses: by number, dressing, trimming or otherwise working of stone slabs: by number, dressing or trimming of paving units of special shape or size for paving edges or surrounds: by length (m), for paving against any inserts or at recesses: by number. 0.5.4 Joint

37、filling with sand or by grouting: for setts and slabs: by area (m2), grouting of movement joints: by length (m) or number. 0.5.5 Surrounds and channels/gutters: placing of kerbs, edging stones and channels/gutters: by length (m), making of bases, with or without haunching: by length (m), working of

38、top faces of kerbs and edging stones: by number, retouching of jointing face and retouching or refurbishing of an existing bevel or of top face of kerbs: by length (m). 1 Scope 1.1 This standard covers the paving of roads of any type, of open spaces, courtyards, railway platforms and track systems,

39、with setts or slabs. It also applies to surrounds, drainage channels and gutters made with setts or slabs. 1.2 This standard does not apply to sett and slab pavements that are laid on buildings and do not have a base and drainage layer. DIN 18318:2016-09 7 1.3 DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also ap

DIN 18318:2016-09 8 3 Execution of work The specifications of DIN 18299, clause 3 shall be supplemented as follows: 3.1 General 3.1.1 The choi

46、ce of technique, the scheduling of work and the type and deployment of equipment shall be left to the contractor. 3.1.2 Where work is to be carried out in inclement weather (e.g. in frost), measures shall be taken to prevent damage occurring, in consultation with the client. The necessary work count

47、s as special tasks (see subclause 4.2.1). 3.1.3 Endangered structures shall be made safe. The instructions of the owners or other authorized persons are to be observed when protective measures are taken. The necessary work counts as special tasks (see subclause 4.2.1). 3.1.4 Should unexpected obstru

48、ctions be encountered, such as undeclared pipes, cables, drains, sewers, survey marks, remains of structures, etc., the client shall be notified immediately. The necessary work shall be agreed between client and contractor. The work involved counts as special tasks (see subclause 4.2.1). If the obstructions are suspected to be unexploded ordnance, the work shall be stopped immediately and the responsible authorities and the client notified.
