3、 GMW14493 and GMW14519. 1. PURPOSE This procedure verifies the operation durability of the height adjuster system. 2. SCOPE All types of seats with height adjuster system mounted 3. TEST SAMPLES Minimum three new assemble seat 4. TEST EQUIPMENT AND JIG 4.1. BIW (Body in White) or jig for fitting sea

4、ts in vehicle conditions 4.2. Operation durability tester 4.3. Cushion pan (weight 50kg, 68 kg) 5. METHODS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF TEST 5.1. Preparation 5.1.1. Fit the BIW or the seat-fixing jig on the durability tester, and then mount a seat on the BIW or the jig. 5.1.2. Set the seat adjuster systems

5、 other than the armrest to the position specified in the design standard. 5.1.3. Load 50kg weight on the SEAT CUSHION when measuring the operation force, and 68kg cushion pan when measuring durability/play clearance. 5.1.4. Adjust the position of the weight of the cushion pan to be concentrated on t

6、he H-point. 5.2. Test method of operating force 5.2.1. Move the seat cushion to the uppermost position by making use of the adjuster, and measure the operation force throughout the zones. 5.2.2. Move the seat cushion to the lowermost position by making use of the adjuster, and measure the operation

7、force throughout the zones. 5.2.3. If the adjuster knobs are of independent forward/reverse mechanism, perform the tests above for both directions of forward and reverse. Measurement of play clearance 5.3.1. Measuring method for cushion only tilt Type (1) Remove the cushion pan, m

9、easure the position of the initial cushion frame (For the measuring purpose, the inspector may attach additional fixture at the mid point of the cushion frame.) (2) Place the cushion pan (68kg) on the cushion and measure the play clearance of the CUSHION FRAME. (3) Measure before and after the test.

Cushion back tilt type measuring method (1) As shown in Fig.1, allow the load of 10kgf at the front, 15kgf at the rear to the center of seat back upper cross bar and measure the upper and bottom play clearance of the foremost front of the cushion panel and record in a displacement, load grap

Durability test method 5.4.1. Move the seat cushion from the lowermost position to the uppermost positio

12、n by making use of the adjuster as shown in fig. 2. 5.4.2. Return the seat cushion from the uppermost position to the lowermost position by making use of the adjuster. 5.4.3. Repeat the test for 10000 cycles. Each cycle consists of the procedures defined in items 5.4.1 and 5.4.2. Load loadingMeasuri

If the adjuster knobs are of independent forward/reverse mechanism, repeat the test for 10000 cycles in both

14、 direction of forward and backward respectively. 5.4.5. Use a 12-volt power supply for the power seat. If there is no limit switch, supply the power for two seconds at the both edge points. Single height adjusterDual height adjusterFig. 2 5.5. Evaluation 5.5.1. There shall be no abnormal noise after

15、 the durability test. 5.5.2. The functions throughout the zones shall be free of abnormal operation after the durability test. 5.5.3. The operating forces and the difference in the forces before and after the durability test shall satisfy the regulations in the drawings. 5.5.4. The play clearances before and after the durability test shall satisfy the regulations in the drawings. 5.5.5. The noise before and after the durability test of the power seat shall comply with the restriction of the drawing.
