10、per cup. Saturate a 2 x 2 in (50 x 50 mm) dyed fabrictest specimen in the water. Withdraw the specimen and squeeze itby hand so that the water drips back into the cup. Observe waterin cup for noticeable color change.3.14 MATERIAL ACCEPTABILITYThe criterion for material acceptability shall be its job

11、performance, i.e. when coated, the material must bondsatisfactorily under approved production conditions. It must alsobe compatible with other approved components in an assembly.3.15 SELVAGEThe selvages shall be of uniform width and of equal width on bothedges of the fabric. The selvages shall be so

12、 made that thetension shall be the same as, and shall lie flat with the body ofthe cloth. Baggy goods and curling selvages shall be cause forrejection.3.16 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYMaterial supplied to this specification must be eqivalent to thatoriginally approved. Changes in formulation or processi

13、ng shallnot be made without prior approval as described in Supplier ProcedureI-A.4. APPROVAL OF SUPPLIERSSuppliers to this secification must be approved by the affected productengineering office. Procedure for gaining approval of a specific materialto a new/existing ES-M specification is contained in Supplier ProcedureI-A. Approved new suppliers will be added to the Engineering MaterialsApproved Source List.5. GENERAL INFORMATIONThis information is for direction of the user and is not a requirementfor the supplier.This material is used as backing fabric for ESB-M2F129-A, VinylCoated Fabric.
