This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 1997, and conflicting national standards shall be withrawn at the latest by December 1997. 16、equirements for rope tubs. Rope tubs are used on jnland vessels to stow up steel wire ropes, man-made fibre ropes or natural fibre ropes which are needed for example for tying and hauling. The use of rope tubs prevents the risk to the crew during manoeuvres, of getting entangled in tightening slings

22、e ropes used can be taken up by the rope tub. 4 Material As a minimum, steel in accordance with EN 10025S235JRG2 (Material No. 1.0038) shaii be used. 23、consist of steel tube having a minimum outer diameter of 33,7 mm and a minimum wall thickness of 3,2 mm in accordance with ENV 10220. Selection and dimensioning of the other semi-finished products are left to the manufacturers discretion. The bottom shall consist of at least eight spokes, of perfora

24、ted plate or of wire mesh. 6 Surface protection The surfaces shall be protected against influences of the weather, e.g. by protective painting or hot gdeing in accordance with prEN 1029. 7 %sting The testing shall be carried out by measurement and visual examination. 8 Designation Example of the des
