2、 Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers both black and white insulated rubber boots. The black boot is for wear in cold, wet climates. The white boot is for wear in extreme cold, dry climates. 1.2 Classification. The boots shall be of the following types, classes, and sizes. as speci
3、fied (see 6.2). 21、s a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 -First article. When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 6.3) in accordance with 4.3. 3.2 Guide sample, Samples, when furnished, are solely for guidance and information to the contractor (see
22、6.4), Variation from this specification may appear in the sample, in which case this specification shall govern. 3.3 Material. All cloth to be coated except the felt component (see 3.3.6) shall contain not more than 0.003 percent copper when tested as specified in 4.4.1.1. All cloth to be coated exc
23、ept the felt component (see 3.3.6) and the nylon tricot (see 3.3.3) shall contain not more than 0.0015 percent manganese when tested as specified in 4.4.1. It is encouraged that recycled material be used when practical as long as it meets the requirements of this specification. 3.3.1 Cloth, muslin,
24、cotton. The cotton muslin cloth shall conform to type I, class 1 of CCC-C-446 except that the requirements for shrinkage shall not apply . 3.3.1.1 Cloth, bootleg duck. Bootleg duck shall be a minimum of 7.2 ounces per square yard, nominal 26 by 21, plain weave, coating quality, cotton. 3.3.2 Cloth,
