19、ction. - The cleaner shall be complete so that, when installed, it can be used for the operations specified herein. The cleaner shall be constructed so that no parts will work loose in service. It shall be built to withstand the strains, jars, vibrations, and other conditions incident to shipping, s

Forgings shall be free from scale, inclosures, cold shuts, mismatching and other defects that may affect the structural. strength of the forgings involved. other essential physical
21、and chemical properties of the castings and forgings shall be adequate to meet the performance requirements specified herein. 3.4.2 Welding, brazing, and soldering. - Welding, brazing, and sol- dering shall be performed in accordance with good commercial practice. In no event shall- such processes,
22、including peening or plugging, be used on castings or forgings for reclaiming any parts of the cleaner without authorization of the procuring activity. 3.4.3 -Metal structure. - The cabinet frame and superstructure shall be fabricated from metal having a minimum thickness of 0.127 inch and braced in
23、 such a manner as to mulimumize al vibrations and flexing of the cabinet. The side paneling shall be fabricated from sheet metal having a minimum thickness of-0.035 inch. fuel tank and cleaning solution tanks shall be fabricated from sheet metal having a minimum thickness of 0.047 inch. 3.4.4 Fasten
24、ing devices. - AU screws, pins, bolts, and similar parts shall be installed with means for preventing loss of tight- ness and adjustment. adjustment shall not be swaged, peened, staked, or otherwise per- manently deformed. 3.4.5 Stanard parts. - ML Stanard parts shall be used where applicable. merci
