SCOPE This specification defines a reinforced elastomeric hose with a non-barrier layer construction and having a conductive tube that is resistant to diesel fuel and a cover that is heat and ozone resistant. 2. APP
3、LICATION This specification was released originally for diesel fuel filler hose and vent lines. Long term continuous operating temperature should not exceed 100 C and maximum intermittent temperature excursions should not exceed 125 C. This construction is not recommended for bio-diesel applications

REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Quality System Requirements. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS IR spect
5、ra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated material laboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 3.3 CONDI
6、TIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Page 2 of 5 3.4 TUBE CONSTRUCTION The hose consists of an inner tube of diesel fuel resistant elastomer such as nitrile rubber (HNBR), one ply of braided, knit, or spiral woven fabric, and a cover of heat and ozone resistant elast
8、omer such as chlorinated polyethene or chlorosulphonated polythylene (CPE/CSM).
