SCOPE: The garments under this standard are made of a spun bonded olefin(Tyvek). Material is to

2、be nonstatic and nonlinting.2. APPLICATION: These garments, in the form of coveralls, pants, shirts,head covers and shoe covers are to be worn by paint spray persons andtack-off personnel in enamel paint spray booths.3. REQUIREMENTS: Material used in the construction of these garments shallbe breath

3、able Tyvek Type No. 1622.This material is to be resistant to mildew, odorless, nontoxic, rash-freeand safe for the intended use. It shall not be affected by paints andthinners in use in the paint booths. The garments shall be comfortable,opaque, and resistant to paint bleed, and the materials shall

ACCESSORY GARMENTS: Hoods, caps, snoods, and shoe covers shall beprovided only when specifically called for by issuing division and shallbe attached on the inside of the garment. When required, they shal

15、l beconstructed of the same material and in the same manner indicated above.They shall be snug and impervious to hair and dandruff particles.5. PACKAGING: All garments to be packaged 25 pieces per case. Outside ofall cases to signify proper shipping, address, manufacturer, Ford codenumber, Ford purc

16、hase order number, item enclosed, and number of garmentsinside case.6. SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY: All material supplied to this standard shallbe equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approvalwas originally granted and shall be suitable for the intendedapplication.7. APPROVAL OF

17、 NEW SUPPLIER: Garments submitted by new manufacturers tothis standard must have purchasing source approval and laboratory andshop trial approvals. Recommendations for the additions of newmanufacturers to the Manufacturing Approved Source List (ASL)must be made by the appropriate division standards activity in writing tothe Manufacturing Staff. All supporting data must accompany the writtenrequest. Manufacturing Staff, Environmental Health and Safety Manager,and Employee Relations Staff, will review request for approval.
