Basic concept: Semester to one academic year in length/depth Menu of design challenges or students can use their own senior design project. 20、reaking ASME News,Student Section Competition Update Winning sections will receive prizes for FY10 competition This competition is now phased out and is being replaced by Student Section Merit-Based Funding,20,Breaking ASME News,Merit-Based Funding for Student Sections Background: The Student Sectio
21、ns Competition lost its corporate sponsor Declining participation MBF for sections has been successful Funding level about $30,000. (payouts TBD) Merit points awarded for: Meetings - 40% (Section meetings, socials, tours, service projects, etc) ASME participation - 35% (SLS 15%, SPDC 15%, HPVC 5%, e
