5、: CORROSION PROTECTlON OF STRUCTURAL STEELWORK NDTE a) Number the PSHC clauses in Portion 2 of the project specification in the sequence in which the clauses to which they relate appear in SABS l200 HC. b) The clause number(s) given at the beginning or after the heading of a clause is/are, unless ot

6、herwise stated, the number(s) of the relevant clause(s) of SABS 1200 HC. 1. ESSENTIAL. PROJECT SPECIFICATION CLAUSES 1.1 Set out suitable clauses in Portion 2 of the project specification to provide essential information as follows: a) (Subclause 5.3) State whether all sharp metal edges are to be gr

7、ound to a smooth radius of at least I mm . b) (Subclause 5.4.3.1) Specify, in accordance with Swedish Standard SIS 05 59 00l), the standard of blast cleaning required. c) (Subclause 5.4.3.1) Specify the blast profile if the provisions of SABS 064) are considered to be ina- dequate. d) Subclause 5.4.

8、3.1) State whether recycling ot blast-cleaning medium is permitted or whether a specific blast medium is to be used. e) (Subclause 5.4.3.1) Where required, specify that samples of eacb standard of blast cleaning specified for the contract be produced by the contractor, for the engineer to keep as st

9、andards by which to judge subsequent work. f) (Subclause 5.4.3.1) State whether wet abrasive blast cleaning is to be used and, if so, specify how this is to be carried out. g) (Subclause 5.4.3.2) Specify, in accordance with SIS 05 59 Ool), the standard of hand cleaning or power- tool cleaning requir

10、ed. h) (Subclause 5.8) If the application of coating is to be permitted at temperatures above 35 “C, specify the maximum temperature above which coating is not permitted. i) (Subclause 5.8) Where deemed necessary, specify the method of coating application. This method shall comply with the manufdctu

11、rers recommendations and data sheets. j) Subclause 5.8) If required, specify that stripe coating is to be carried out. k) Specify the distance into concrete that steel is to be coated where it is to be embedded in concrete (where this distance is to be other Lhan 75 mm). l) (Subclause 5.8) Specify h

13、 each intermediate coat. o) (Subclause 7.3) If tests, instruments, methods and criteria other than those given in Subclause 7.3 are required, specify these in detail. p) (Subclause 7.3.8) Specify the frequency of readings required for DFT determinations unless the fre- quency given in SABS Method 14

14、13) is to be followed. 2. ESSEWIAL DATA 2.1 The availability of certain essential data may affect the prices tendered. Except where such data have been given in the schedule or in the tender drawings, set out suitable clauses covering items such as the following in Portion 2 of the project specifica

15、tion: a) (Subclause 5.4.1) Specify the appropriate method of cleaning and preparing the substrate and specify where this work is to be carried out. b) (Subclause 5.7) Specify the coating system(s) to be used and whether a post-blast primer is to be used. (See also Clause 5 of Part 3 of the code.) Sp

16、ecify the colours of the finish coat with reference to SABS 109143 and SABS 0140): Parts 11 and 111. Specify whether this work is to be carried out in the shop or on site. 20、on of structural steelwork 3.2 PROJECT CLASSIFICATION NOTE: To meet requirements imposed by various norms of economic development, projects are ciassified as normal, prestige, subeconomic and labour-based projects (see CLause 4 of the Introduction to Part 3 of the code). 3.2.1 Normal Projects. SABS

21、1200 HC wi l1 normally apply. Prestige Projects. Where SABS 1200 HC is not suitable Eor a prestige project, include an appropriate 3.2.2 - particular specification in the contract. 3.2.3 Subeconomic Projects.
