TRAINING CANISTER, QUICK STARTING FOR NAVY OXYGEN BREATHING APPARATUS For Charging Canister, see instructions on Candle-Storage Container STARTING INSTRUCTIONS Remove tearsff cap

10、 by placing a finger in tab hole, pulling backwards and upwards. Remove the candle cover by rotating swivel plate 180 degrees. Pull swivel plate up toward center of canister, leaving the cover dangling by the lanyard. D NOT PULL -b LANYARD. Wrth bail handle down, insert canister into apparatus. THIS

11、 IS THE STANDBY POSITION. Don and adjust face piece and check for airtight fit. Depress tabs on bail handle and rotate downward to the standby position. Test handle to ensure lodc is secure. Set timer for 5 minutes by rotating dial to Mi minutes, then back to 5 minutes.- % Pull lanyard straight away

12、 from body to ignite candle. Ensure cotter key has detached from timing mechanism. =w + PULL DOWN PULL LANYARD y AFTER USE To remove canister, depress tabs on bail handle and rotate downward to the standby position. Pull release drap. Catch canister mth a suitabiy gloved hand. See Instructions on ca

13、ndle storage container for recharging, storage and disposal. CAUTION i. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Canister must be charged with a candle before use. Do not remove tearsff cap until ready to insert canister into apparatus. Canister, when charged with fresh candle, is good for 5 minutes at rest. Canister is t

14、o be discarded after forty training periods or when indicator on the canister turns blue, whichever occurs first. Never allow any foreign substance to enter canister, especially Oll, WATER AND OIL, GASOUNE, GREASE, etc. For storage, canister must be sealed by the metal tear-off cap on the canister n

15、eck and by the plastic storage plug and firing mechanism at the candle recess on the bottom. Never store canister with a fresh or a used candle in place. MFD.
