19、InternationalStandarddescribestherequirementsforautomated,controlledshot-peeningofmetallicarticles priortoelectrolyticorautocatalyticdepositionofnickelorchromium,orasafinalfinish,usingshotmadeofcast steel,conditionedcutwire,ceramicshotorglassbeads.Theprocessisapplicabletothosematerialsonwhichtest wo

Shot-peeninginducesresidualcompressivestressesinthesurfaceandnearsurfacelayersofmetallicarticles,and changesthesurfacemicrostructure(includingphas
