3、es, including dimensional stability and extrusionquality, of rigid, poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) interior-profileextrusions. Methods for identifying interior-profile extrusionsthat comply with the requirements of this specification areprovided.1.2 Rigid PVC recycled plastic may be used in this product
4、in accordance with the requirements in Sections 6 and 7.1.3 Rigid PVC compounds for interior building productapplications are covered in Specification D 1784.1.4 Rigid PVC exterior profile extrusions for assembledwindows and doors are covered in Specification D 4726.1.5 The text of this standard ref
5、erences notes and footnoteswhich provide explanatory material. These notes and footnotes(excluding those in Tables and Figures) shall not be consideredas requirements of this standard.1.6 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as thestandard. 12、of this specification is to establish on anational basis, a recognized standard of quality for rigidpoly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) interior-profile extrusions for inte-rior use other than cellular products, piping, tubing, andwindow and door profiles used in finished building products.The information co
13、ntained in this standard is intended to behelpful to producers, distributors, and users, and to promoteunderstanding between buyers and sellers. Classification5.1 This standard covers three classes of rigid PVC interior-profile extrusions as follows:Class 1Normal impactClass 2Intermediate impactClass 3High impact6. Materials a
17、nd Manufacture6.1 This specification covers profile extrusions made fromplastics conforming to the requirements of SpecificationD 1784. Class 1 extrusions shall meet the requirements speci-fied in Specification D 1784 for Class 12454 compound. Class2 extrusions shall meet the requirements for Class
18、14323compound. Class 3 extrusions shall meet the requirements forClass 1-40031-54-0000 compound. Refer to Table 1 in Speci-fication D 1784.6.2 Rigid PVC recycled plastic, as defined in Guide D 5033,may be used in this product if all the requirements in thesections on Materials and Manufacture (Secti
19、on 6), and onPhysical Requirements (Section 7) are met by the extrusionscontaining PVC recycled plastic.6.3 All Class compounds shall have a minimum coefficientof linear expansion of 10 3 10-5cm/cm/C (5.5 3 10-5in./in./F).NOTE 3Non-PVC materials may be used as a capstock.6.4 Rework MaterialClean, ho
20、mogeneous PVC reworkmaterial or rework material containing PVC capstock gener-ated from the manufacturers own production of the same classcompound may be used by the same manufacturer providingthat the extruded profiles meet all the requirements of thisspecification.
