3、e1.1 This specification covers aluminum-alloy castings, pro-duced by the thixocast, rheocast, semi-solid and squeezecasting processes, shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification is not intended for castings used inaerospace applications.1.3 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1
4、/H35.1(M). The equivalent unified numberingsystem alloy designations are in accordance with PracticeE527.1.4 Unless the order specifies the “M” specification desig-nation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-pound units.1.5 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminumand aluminum al
5、loys and their properties in this specification,see Annex A1 and Annex A2.1.6 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated ineach system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, eachsystem shall be used independently of the othe
6、r. Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in non-conformancewith the standard.1.7 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
