2、cies. 1. SCOPE. 1.1 Scope. This commercial item description (CID) covers flexible aluminum and steel conduit. 1.2 Intended use. Flexible metal conduit covered by this CID is designed for use as metal raceway for wires and cables in accordance with the National Electrical Code. 2. CLASSIFICATION. 2.1

3、 Classification. Flexible metal conduit shall be of the following types and sizes. The types and sizes to be funiished shall be as specified (see 7.2). 2.2 Type. Type I - Aluminum standard wall Type II - Aluminum reduced wall Type III - Steel standard wall Type IV - Steel reduced wall Beneficial com

The contractor shall certifj and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this commercial item description and that the product conforms the producers own drawings, specifications, and quality assurance practice

11、s, and is the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery, and thereafter, as may be otherwise provided under the provisions of the contract. 5.2 Examination. The flexible metal conduit sh

12、all be examined to determine compliance with all requirements specified in this CID. 6. PACKAGING. 6.1 Packaping reauirements.
