The responsible German body invo
5、lved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Informationstechnik und Anwendungen (Information Technology and selected IT Applications Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 043-01-36 AA Lerntechnologien. This document describes the model for the recording and exchange of learner achievement i
6、nformation among student management information systems, as well as the aggregation of information by third party suppliers; this model is associated with the Diploma Supplement (DS). An increase in the mobility of learners and the improvement of their job opportunities takes high priority in Europe
7、an educational policy. The Europass and the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) lay down the framework conditions for a transparent description of personal abilities, competencies and qualifications. The additional information provided in diplomas and certificates issued throughout Europe will ma
8、ke it easier to compare such documents. The information to be included and the form it is to take is laid down in the model specified here. The existence of generally accepted framework conditions shows that Europe has reached the stage at which the development of technical standards for supporting
9、learner mobility is necessary. This document gives a technical description of a data model for the ELM-DS with which information regarding the qualification of learners can be described. Additional note: In Figures D.1, D.2 and D.3 “1*” stands for “1n” (n = at least 1 to any number of occurrences).
