4、 covers the extraction and quantitation ofhydrocarbons from animal tissue. This test method is limited to hydro-carbons measurable by gas chromatography. 5、 for water suitable for use in theelectronics and microelectronics industry for purposes such as thewashing and rinsing of semiconductor components in cleaning andetching operations, making steam for oxidation of silicon surfaces, pho-tomask preparation, luminescent material deposition, and similar

6、appli-cations relating to the development and fabrication of solid state, thinfilm, photodetector, printed circuit, memory, vacuum tube, or electrolyticdevices. Published in Vol 11.01, May 1985.D-19 Proposal P 179, Proposed Method for Comparison of Waterborne Petro-leum Oils by Low-Temperature Lumin

7、escence. Luminescence is theemission of absorbed radiation as light, either as fluorescence or phos-phorescence. Most fluorescence occurs at longer wavelengths than thelongest wavelength of absorption. Its time delay is approximately onthe order of 108s. Phosphorescence, which is from a different ty

8、pe ofexcited state than fluorescence is at longer wavelengths than fluores-cence; its time delay is within the range of 104to 10 s. Low-temperature luminescence is conducted in a rigid matrix at tempera-tures below ambient, usually liquid nitrogen temperature (77 K). Thislow-temperature luminescence

9、 oil analysis procedure provides emis-sion or excitation spectra or both, that are used to match spilled petro-leum oil to a suspected source. This test methodcovers the determination of particle size distribution by volume of sedi-ments using light scattering, and is applicable to measuring the particlesize range from 0.1 to 1000 m. This test method is appli-cable to samples containing PCBs as single congeners or as complexmixtures, such as commercial Aroclors. PCBs are iden

13、tified and mea-sured as isomer groups (that is, by level of chlorination). This is aqualitative and quantitative (high resolution) gas chromatog

14、raph (GC),(low resolution) mass spectrometric (MS) test method for the tetrathrough octachloro congeners of dioxin and dibenzofuran in water.Published in Vol 11.02, May 1991.D-19 Proposal P 219, Proposed Test Method for 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-Dioxin (TCDD) and 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzofurans

15、(TCDF) in Water.This test method is a qualitative and quantitative (high resolution) gaschromatographic (GC)/(low resolution) mass spectrometer (MS) spe-cific for the 2,3,7,8-isomer of tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) andthe 2,3,7,8-isomer of tetrachlorodibenzofuran (TCDF) in water. It pro-vides p

16、rocedures for detection and measurement of these compoundsat levels of 10 ng/L in 1-L aliquots of water. Published in Vol 11.02,May 1991.D-19 Proposal P 229, Proposed Test Method for Giardia Cysts and Cryptospo-ridium Oocysts in Low-Turbidity Water by a Fluorescent Antibody Pro-cedure. This test met

17、hod describes the detection and enumeration, bya fluorescent antibody procedure, of Giardia cysts and Cryptosporidiumoocysts in low-turbidity (#1 NTU) ground and surface waters. Pub-lished in Vol 11.02, May 1992.D-19 Proposal P 241, Proposed Test Method for Determination of SemivolatileOrganic Compo

18、unds in Water by Gas Chromatography/Mass Spec-trometry (GC/MS). This proposed test method covers the determinationof various organic compounds. Problems have been associated withthe following compounds covered by this test method: 3.38-dichlorobenzidine and 4-chloroaniline can be subject to oxidativ

19、elosses during solvent concentration; n-nitrosodiphenylamine, hexachlo-rocyclopentadiene, and 1,2-diphenylhydrazine may decompose in thegas chromatographic inlet or elsewhere; and a- andg-hexachlorocyclohexane, endosulfan I and II, endrin, and the alkylesters of phthalic acid are subject to decomposition under the alkalineextraction conditions.
