Scope1.1 This specification covers paintball markers, which pro-pel a paintball by means of energy released by compressed air,

Terminology3.1 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standa
7、rd:3.1.1 auto-triggera trigger which, when held in the dis-charge position, will automatically cause the paintball markerto discharge when the pump or bolt action is manipulated.3.1.2 backstopan object intended to stop a paintball.3.1.3 barrelthat portion of a paintball marker throughwhich the paint
8、ball is discharged.3.1.4 barrel blocking devicea muzzle blocking safetydevice which, when properly installed, reduces the likelihoodof an intact paintball discharging from the marker or leavingthe confines of the barrel blocking device. The device is oftenreferred to as a barrel plug.3.1.5 burst mod
9、e markera burst mode marker may dis-charge two or more times per trigger cycle or may dischargetwo or more times with the pull and release of the trigger.3.1.6 cautionary statementthe warning outlined in Sec-tion 8 of this standard and noted in Specification F 2041, whichis to be placed on paintball
10、 markers, packaging and literature.3.1.7 disabling devicea device which, when activated,disables a part of the paintball marker, usually the trigger, toprevent unintentional discharges and must be released to allowthe marker to be discharged by the movement of the trigger.The device is sometimes ref
11、erred to as the “safety,” “safetybutton,” or “safety lever.” An electronic on/off switch isconsidered a disabling device when placing it in the “off”position renders the marker inoperable.3.1.8 discharge modea mode that controls the number ofpaintballs discharged per trigger cycle.3.1.9 enhanced tri
12、gger mode markera paintball markerthat at some point discharges more than one paintball pertrigger cycle. This includes markers that “store” the number oftrigger pulls and discharge more than one paintball at somepoint.3.1.10 feed mechanisma mechanism that stores, trans-ports and facilitates the loa
13、ding of paintballs. It may be gravity,mechanically or air assisted or automatic in its actions.3.1.11 fully-automatic mode markera marker that dis-charges when the triggering device is actuated and continues todischarge until the trigger returns to its reset or recycleposition.3.1.12 hoppera device

22、harge amarker.3.1.24 trigger, adjustablea trigger mechanism in whichthe trigger pull is adjustable.3.1.25 trigger cyclethe movement of the trigger throughdischarge and returning to a reset or recycle position.3.1.26 trigger, double-actiona trigger mechanism inwhich a single continuous action of the
23、trigger moves thehammer to the discharging position and then releases it todischarge the paintball.3.1.27 trigger guarda rigid, firmly attached component. Itmust totally enclose the trigger area and be wider than thetrigger. There can be no more than 38 mm (1.5 in.) of spacefrom any point on the fac
