This standard covers the design and testing of lifting, tiedown, and cargo tiedownprovisions. The requirements in this stand
3、ard are military-unique interface requirementsdeveloped specifically for ensuring that the lifting and tiedown provisions on militaryequipment meet the physical, functional and operational environment attributes fortransportation assets of the Defense Transportation System (DTS). These requirementsa
4、re necessary to permit the interoperability between transported military equipment andthe transportation system available for military movements. Changes incorporated in thisrevision include the addition of a new type of provision to the standard, supplemental airtransport tiedown provisions. This r
5、evision also redefines the definitions for the types ofequipment that require provisions, and combines cargo bed tiedowns and flatbed/flatracktiedowns into one type of provision that is simply called “cargo tiedown” provisions.Additionally, this revision of the standard has been reformatted so that
6、it is easier to findthe specific requirements for each type of provision covered under this standard.3.
