3、UEL This amendment forms a part of Military Speci- fication MIL-P-82436(OS) of 10 May 1966 and has been approved by the Naval Ordnance Systems Command, Department of the Navy Wherever it appears in specification delete “Bureau of Naval Weapons“ and substitute “Naval Ordnance Systems Commandf1; also

4、delete lBUWEPS“ and “NAVTVEPSlt and substitute “NAVORD“. Page 11, paragraph 4.4.3.1 e. Delete and substitute: lle. Discharge storage tank7 Discharge Otto fuel shall be collected in a storage tank. The Otto fuel shall either be disposed of in accordance with NAVORD OP 3368 or tested in the following

5、manner to determine suitability for reuse: (1) A representative sample of the collected fuel shall be taken from the storage tank within 30 minutes after performing the operational test specified in 4.4.4.1 and placed in 0 I5OC storage for a mini- mum of 48 hours. (2) Visually inspect samples at OO

6、f SOC. (a) If no precipitate is visible in the Otto fuel at the bottom of the container, the Otto fuel shall be considered acceptable for reuse. (b) If a precipitate of reddish-orange fibers or particles of random size is visible in the Otto fuel.at the bottom of the .-ztzl- container, .i the Otto f

10、est stand and connected to the aux- iliary equipment and instruments in accordance with Figure 2. Twenty cubic centimeters (2/3 oz.) of lubrication oil, see 6.7, shall be used in the pump housing. The pump and all items containing Otto fuel shall be enclosed by a suitable barrier. The controls and i

11、nstrumentation readout indicators shall be remotely located from components containing Otto fuel. Safety and handling of the Otto fuel shall be in accordance with NAVORD OP 3368. The acceptability of Otto fuel for reuse in testing pumps shall be determined in accord- ance with 4.4.3.1 e. The pump sh

12、all deliver the Otto fuel at the pressures specTfied in Table VI, within the respective parameters listed, when driven at 3880 3. 10 rpm, with bias pressure controlled within the respective parameters listed, and-using the flow-limiting orifice specified in 4.4.3.1 d. During the test, the pump shall
