This standard covers Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) primarily for use
2、inGeneral Motors automatic transmissions. This specification describes, in terms of laboratory and simulatedservice test results, the requirements for a minimum-performance fluid. The primary requirement is satisfactoryperformance in normally functioning transmissions under normal and severe conditi
3、ons.1.2 Symbols. Not applicable.1.3 Typical Applications. This lubricant shall be used in GM Automatic Transmissions and other specifiedapplications.1.4 Remarks.1.4.1 This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment. It does not purport toaddress all of the safety problems as
4、sociated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this specificationto establish appropriate safety and health practices and to determine the applicability of regulatory limitationsprior to use.1.4.2 This standard uses the International System of Units (SI) as standard per IEEE/ASTM SI
5、10, except forcertain components, which are commercially available only in American conventional units.1.4.3 This standard uses the Rounding-Off Method according to ASTM E29 for significant figures to determineconformance to specification requirements.1.4.4 Unless otherwise noted, part numbers of th
