SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a cast polyurethane foam, formulated to be free of chlorofluorocarbons (CFC). 2. APPLICATION This specification was released origina
3、lly for material used as instrument panel insulators and floor carpet underlayment. The foam shall not be used in direct contact with metal temperatures exceeding 120 C. Metal contact temperatures or exposure temperatures that exceed 120 C shall employ sufficient insulation to insure that the foam i
4、s exposed to less than 120 C. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENT FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 APPEARANCE The foam shall have a homogeneous medium sized cell struc
5、ture with no large voids or solid spots which may impair the serviceability of the part. 3.5 TEST SPECIMEN The following material properties shall be determined on specimens taken from the core of a 50 mm thick surrogate block at least 2 - 5 mm from the surface skin, unless otherwise specified. This
6、 specimen shall be free of voids, hard spots and densification lines. 3.5.1 Aged Weight Loss, max 1.5% Test Method: Weigh 100 x 100 x 25 mm sample to nearest mg (W1). Place the sample in a convection oven maintained at 120 +/- 2 C for 24 h. Remove the sample and reweigh to the nearest mg (W2). (W1-
