The complete PIN shall be as specified on the item requirements drawing and constructed u

The individual item requirements shall be in accordance with A-A-55469 except as specified in the requirements drawing and herein. In c

14、ase of conflict between this drawing and requirements drawing, the latter shall govern. 3.2 Desian, construction, and Dhvsical dimensions. The design, construction, and physical dimensions shall be as specified in A-A-55469 except as specified in the requirements drawing and herein. 3.2.1 Desicm doc

15、umentation. The design documentation shall be in accordance with A-A-55469 and, unless otherwise specified in the acquisition document, shall be retained by the manufacturer but be available for review by the contracting activity or contractor upon request. 3.3 Materials. Materials shall be as speci

16、fied herein; however, when a definite material is not specified, a material shall be used which will enable the connectors to meet the performance requirements of this specification. Acceptance or approval of any constituent material shall not be construed as a guaranty of the acceptance of the fini

17、shed product. 3.3.1 Metals and finishes. All exposed metal parts, except electric contacts, terminals, and corrosion-resisting steel parts shall be nickel-plated in accordance with class 1, type 2, of QQ-N-290. Steel parts shall be passivated in accordance with SAE-AMs-QQ-P-35. 3.3.2 Contacts. Conta

18、cts and contact tabs shall be made of copper-beryllium in accordance with ASTM B196, ASTM B197,and ASTM 8194, or (when specified in 3.1) phosphor bronze in accordance with ASTM 8139. Contacts shall be gold plated in accordance with ASTM 8488, type 3, grade C, and class 1.27 (50p inch). Silver underp

19、late shall not be used. 3.3.3 Plastic parts. Plastic parts shall be made in accordance with ASTM D5948, ASTM D171 O, L-P-41 O, ASTM D4101, or ASTM D4673 unless otherwise specified (see 3.1). The color of the insulated portions shall be black number 17038 or red number 11 136 in accordance with FED-S

20、TD-595, as specified (see 3.1). 3.4 Electrical Derformance characteristics. The electrical performance characteristics are as specified in table I and the requirements drawing and apply over the entire operating temperature unless otherwise specified. The environmental and mechanical performance characteristics are as specified in table II. Requirement value 3.6.1 Vibration. When connectors are tested as specified in 4.4, there sh

23、all be no loss of electrical continuity in excess of 10 microseconds during the test. After the test, connectors shall meet the following requirements: Visual examination: There shall be no cracking, breaking, or loosening of parts or other evidence of physical damage. TABLE II. 25、ectors Specified herein shall not be required. 3.7.1 Qualitv conformance inspection. The quality conformance inspection shall be in accordance with A-A-55469 and 4.3 herein. 3.8 Manufacturer eliaibility. To be eligible to supply connectors to this drawing, a manufacturer must be capable of meeting t

26、he requirements specified herein and those of A-A-55469. 3.9 Certificate of compliance. A certificate of compliance shall be required from a manufacturer in order to be listed as an approved source (see 6.5). 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Samplina and inspection. Sampling and inspection proced

27、ures shall be in accordance with A-A-55469, except as modified herein. 4.2 Qualification inspection. Qualification inspection for connectors specified herein shall not be required. 4.3 Qualitv conformance inspection. Quality assurance inspection shall be in accordance with A-A-55469. 4.4 Vibration (

28、see 3.6.1). Connectors shall be tested in accordance with method 2005 of MIL-STD-1344. The following details shall apply: a. Test condition number 1. b. Measurement during test - Connectors shall be monitored for electrical continuity during the test. Equipment shall be sufficiently sensitive to det

The requirements for packaging shall be in accordance with A-A-55469. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. Connec

30、tors conforming to this drawing are intended for use when military specifications do not exist and qualified military connectors that will perform the required function are not available for OEM application. This drawing is intended exclusively to prevent the proliferation of unnecessary duplicate s

31、pecifications, drawings, and stock catalog listings. 6.2 Acquisition requirements. The acquisition documents should specify the following: a. Complete PIN (see 1.2). b. Requirements for delivery one copy of the quality conformance inspection data pertinent to the connector inspection lot, to be supp

32、lied with each shipment by the connector manufacturer, if applicable. c. Requirements for certificate of compliance, if applicable. d. Requirements for notification of change of product or process to procuring activity, if applicable. e. Requirements for packaging and packing (see 5.1). f. Requireme

33、nts for assembly and assembly tools. 6.3 Redaceability. Replaceability is determined as follows: a. Connectors covered by this drawing will replace the same generic connectors covered by a contractor-prepared specification b. When a QPL source is established, the part numbered connector specified in
