Whenloadedasspecifiedin6.2,theplatformandthestepsshallshownosignsofdamage,suchasfractures, orcracks. 5.3 Slipresistance 5.3.1 Feetorbottomendofstiles Feetorbottomendsofstilesshallbesoledwithaslipresistantmaterial(e.g.rubber).Requirementsof5.3 areconsideredtobemetifsuccessfullytestedaccording

Weldingofjointsispermittedifweldingproceduresandweldingpersonnelaresuitable.EN719andEN7291 toEN7294shallbeobserved. 5.6Surface finish Inordertoavoidinjuries,accessibleedges,corners,andpro

Metalpartssusceptibletocorrosionshallbeprotectedbymeansofapaintcoatingorothercoating.Under normalconditionsaluminiumalloyproductsarenotlikelytocorrodeandneednoprotection. Ifwoodenpartsarecoated,thecoatingshallbetransparentandpermeabletowatervapour.

Thepaddingofapaddedseatshallberemovedforthistest.Theproductshallbeplacedonafirm,flat surfaceand
