Scope1.1 This specification covers resilient flooring, typically intiles or planks format, or both, that are surface decorated orp
3、rinted and protected by a clear wear layer.1.2 This type of floor covering utilizes a polymeric rigidcore as part of the product structure.1.3 This type of floor covering may utilize an attachedunderlay backer for reduced noise and for reducing issuesconcerning minor subfloor irregularities.1.4 This
4、 type of floor covering is intended for use incommercial and residential buildings. General information andperformance characteristics that determine serviceability andrecommended use are included in this specification.1.5 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. 19、cor layer (forexample, wear layer, dcor, polymeric rigid core and backer).3.1.5 resilient flooring with polymeric rigid corea rigidfloor covering, typically in a plank or tile format, having amultiple layer product structure, for example, wear layer,dcor, polymeric rigid core, or backer(s), or combi
20、nationthereof. The planks/tiles have worked edges that allow theproduct to be joined or butted together to form a larger integralunit. The product may vary in surface texture and gloss.Resilient flooring with polymeric rigid core does not includeproducts having a textile or non resilient surfaces su
21、ch aswood, stone, metal, etc.3.1.6 rigidwhen a flooring product has sufficient stiffnessto bridge minor subfloor irregularities and sufficient stiffnessthat it takes significant effort to deflect the product whensupported between two fixed supports.(for example, resilientflooring with polymeric rigi
22、d core, laminate flooring, woodflooring, etc).3.1.7 wear layerthe upper portion of the resilient flooring,that protects the pattern and design, exclusive of temporaryfinishes and maintenance coatings.4. Classification4.1 The modular flooring, in tile or plank form, covered bythis specification shall
23、 be classified as follows:4.1.1 Class IPrinted with clear transparent/translucentwear layer.4.1.1.1 Type ASmooth surface.4.1.1.2 Type BEmbossed surface.4.1.2 GradeGrades shall be classified by the total wearlayer thickness (sum of PVC and non-PVC wear layers). Thewear layer system shall consist of a
24、 single layer or multiplelayers that do not delaminate under normal use.4.1.2.1 Grade 1Commercial, 0.020 in. (0.5 mm) min.4.1.3 BackingBacking classes shall indicate if there is anattached underlay backing or not.4.1.3.1 Backing Class ANo attached underlay backing.Product shall be suitable for floor
