Manufacture4.1 Steelmaking PracticeThe steel sh

Heat Treatment5.1 Plates shall be thermally treated to produce grain refine-ment, either by normalizing or heating uniformly for hotforming at a minimum temperature of 1600F 870C or somehigher agreed temperature, and held at this temperature for aminimum of 1 h/in. 2.4 min/mm of thi

Chemical Requirements6.1 The steel shall conform to the chemical requirementsshown in Table 1 unless otherwise modified in accordance withSupplementary Requirement S17, Vacuum Carbon-DeoxidizedSteel, in Specification A20/A20M.7. Mechanical Requirements7.1 Tension Test RequirementsThe mater
