REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials.-Materials shall. be in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications. 3.2 Detonator.-The detonator shall comply with all require- ments specified on Drawing (dwg.) 9298121, and with all require- ments specified in applicable speci

4、fications. 3.3 Moisture Content 3.3.1 Lead Azide.-The moisture content of the lead azide used in loading the detonator shall not exceed 0.50 percent when tested as specified in 4.5.2. 3.3.2 Primer Mixture.-The moisture content of the primer mixture used in loading the detonator shall not exceed 0.30

5、 percent when tested as specified in 4.5.3. 3.3.3 RDX.-The moisture content.of the RDX used in load- ing the detonator shall not exceed 0.50 percent when tested as Specified in 4.5.4. - 3.4 Functioning z Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-

6、,-MIL-D-b3057 33 M 9777706 O343358 I M MIL-D-6 30 59 ( PA) 3.4.1 Sensitivity.-The detonator shall func- tion on the first attempt and shall cause perforation of a ,1345 inch thick lead disc, to a diameter of not less than 0.2187 inch when tested as specified in 4.5.7.1. 3.4.2 Waterproofness.-The det

7、onator shall comply with the requirements of 3.4.1 after being submerged in water to a minimum depth of two (2) inches for not less than 48 hours when tested as specified in 4.5.7.2. 3.5 First Article Inspection-This specification contains technical provisions for first article inspection. Requireme

8、nts for the submission of first article samples shall be as speci- fied in the contract. 3.6 Workmanship.-All parts and assemblies shall be fabri- cated and loaded in a thorough, workmanlike manner. They shall be free of burrs, chips, sharp edges, cracks, surface defects, dirt, grease, rust, corrosi

9、on products and other foreign matter. The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any part nor shall the parts be contaminated by the cleaning agent. All required markings shall be neat and sharply defined. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility For Inspection and Standard Quality

10、 Assurance Provisions.-Unless otherwise specified herein or in the contract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply and are hereby made a part of this detail specification. 4.2 Classification of Inspections.-The following types of inspection shall be conducted on this item. a. 23、ection tables. 4.4.4 Inspection Equipment.-The inspection equipment re- quired, to perform the examinations and tests prescribed in this specification is identified, either directly or by reference, in the “Paragraph Reference/Inspection Method“ column of the First Article or Quality Conformance Ins

24、pection tables herein. The contractor shall submit inspection equipment designs to the Government for approval in accordance with the terms of the contract. See Section 6 of MIL-A-48078 and 6.2 herein. 4.5 Test Methods and Procedures 4.5.1 Materials, Components and Processes.-Compliance with all req

25、uirements of Section 3 of this specification shall be ascertained by current and continuing examination of inspec- tion and test data to determine that all components (parts, subassemblies, and materials) have been inspected and tested and found to comply with their respective drawing and specifi- c

26、ation requirements, and that all specified manufacturing processes have been followed. 4.5.1.1 Visual and Mechanical Inspections.-The visual, manual and mechanical inspections and tests shall verify com- pliance with the requirements of Sections 3 and 5 of this specification in accordance with 4.4.2

27、 herein and Table I. 4.5.2 Moisture Content of Lead Azide.-The moisture con- tent of the lead azide shall be determined at the time of loading. The moisture content of the lead azide shall be de- termined in accordance with MIL-STD-650, Method use a two gram sample and cover the dish with a sheet of

The 4.5.5 Binder-Lubricant Content of RDX.-The calcium re- sinate, graphite, and total binder-lubricant content of the RDX to be used in the detonator shall be determined as follows: 4.5.5.1 Calcium Resinate.-An accurately we

32、ighed portion of five (5) grams of the sample shall be transferred to a tared medium porosity sintered-glass crucible. shall be extracted with thyee 20 milliliter (mi) portions of chloroform which have been previously saturated with RDX, maintaining each portion in contact with the residue for appro

33、ximately .five minutes before applying suction. Any lumps which may persist shall be broken up by stirring occasionally and the sides of the crucible washed down with each 20 ml por- tion of chloroform to insure complete removal of the calcium resinate. The residue shall be aspirated until the odor

34、of chloroform is no longer detectable; the crucible and contents shall be placed in a drying oven at 95-105 degrees C. for 1/2 hour, cooled in a desiccator and weighed. The above extrac- tion shall be repeated, drying, and weighing with individual 20 ml portions of chloroform until the loss in weigh

41、er-lubricant in the sample shall be calculated by adding the percentage of calcium resinate and graphite found. + 4.5.6 Composition of Primer Mixture.-The composition of the primer mixture shall be determined by performing the follow- ing tests in the sequence specified: approximately 0.5 gram of pr

42、imer mixture shall be transferred to a tared medium-porosity, fritted glass crucible of 20 ml capacity. Three ml of lead azide saturated distilled water shall be added at a temperature of 50 degrees C plus or minus 2 degrees C, agitated for one (1) minute, and, if necessary, lumps shall be broken up

43、 with a rubber policeman attached to a glass rod. Suction shall be applied. This procedure shall be repeated five times, making a total of six, 3-ml extrac- tions. The sample in the filtering crucible shall be rinsed three times with alcohol, dried in an oven maintained at 60 degrees C plus or minus

44、 5 degrees C for 30 minutes, cooled in a desiccator and weighed.
