SCOPE 1.1 Scope. Th
2、is document covers four types of polyethylene bags for enclosing of chemical protective clothing. 1.2 Classification. The bags shall be of the following types as specified (see 6.2). Type 1 - For clothing outfit Type II - For glove and sock set Type III - For clothing outfit (Navy) Type IV _- For sh

REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article, When specified in the contract or purchase order, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.3, 6.2, and 6.3). 3.2 Materials (see 6.4). Jc 3.2.1 - Film. The film us
15、ed in fabricating all bags shall be polyethylene conforming to type I, class 1, grade B, finish 2 of L-P-378 and shall be 0.0080- inch thick, The color of the film shall approximate color 24087 of FED-STD-595. 3.3 Design and construction. The design of all bags shall be as illustrated in Drawing 8-2
16、-204. Bags shall be constructed from the polyethylene film specified in 3.2.1 and sealed on the two sides. One end of the bag shall be fitted with an interlocking reclosable closure which shall be heat sealed to the bag, Excess material beyond the seals shall be trimmed evenly and shall not exceed 1
17、/4 inch. Access to the reclosable closure shall be by a readily torn membrane strip running parallel to the upper edge of the reclosable closure. The membrane strip shall be identified by a red or black stripe. For details of the closure, see Drawing 8-2-204. The bottom edge of the bag shall be left

PAIR SOCKS, CUSHION
21、 SOLE, CHEMICAL PROTECTIVE 1. PAIR GLOVES, COTTON, CHEMICAL PROTECTIVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE ITEMS CONTAINED IN THIS PACKAGE HAVE BEEN IMPREGNATED AND ARE READY FOR WEAR i. CHECK GARMENT FOR PROPER FIT, TRADE ITEMS AS REQUIRED. 2. IMPREGNATED SOCKS-ARE WORN WITH FOLLOWING FIELD FOOTWEAR: a. LEATHER C
22、OMBAT BOOTS WITH PROTECTIVE TREATMENT ARE USED IN HOT WEATHER AREAS. b. INSULATED BOOTS ARE USED IN COLD WEATHER AREAS. 3. 4, 5. 6. 23、 FOR LINER. REIMPREGNATION OF THREE PAIRS OF SOCKS PROVIDES AN ADDITIONAL 3 DAYS CONTINUOUS PROTECTION. SHIRT AND TROUSER LINERS ARE PROTECTIVE FOR 7 CONTINUOUS DAYS STARTING WITH FIRST DAY OF WEAR. AT THE END OF THIS PERIOD, LINERS MUST BE REIMPREGNATED BY MOBILE LAUNDRY METHOD OR BY USE OF M-13 KI
24、T, THE MOBILE LAUNDRY METHOD PROVIDES AN ADDITIONAL 7 DAYS CONTINUOUS PROTECTION. REIMPREGNATION BY M-13 KIT PROVIDES AN ADDITIONAL 3 DAYS CONTINUOUS PROTECTION. GLOVES ARE PROTECTIVE FOR 3 CONTINUOUS DAYS STARTING WITH FIRST DAY SAME METHODS USED FOR THE LINER. REIMPREGNATION PROVIDES AN ADDITIONAL
