SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a filled polyether urethane foam cast to the desired configuration. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as molded d
3、ash panel and floorpan isolators for the 1984 Continental/Mark VII. The foam shall not be used in direct contact with metal temperatures exceeding 121 C. Metal contact temperatures or exposure temperatures that exceed 121 C shall employ sufficient insulation to insure that the foam is exposed to les
4、s than 121 C. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. The requirements of this specification are based on test samples taken from flat cast sheets and finished parts. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppli
5、ers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 CONSTRUCTION The cell structure of sheets and finished parts shall be free from large voids, unblown compound or hard spots. Samples of parts or sheets shall be equal to or better
6、 than samples on file at Materials and Corrosion Protection Engineering Department, Textile and Acoustic Engineering Section. 3.3 DENSITY, +/- 10% 80 kg/m3(ASTM D 3574, Test A, section density) 3.4 ASH CONTENT, max 4% (ASTM D 586) 3.5 WEIGHT, FINISHED PART, max As specified on engineering drawing EN
