28、 testing, as specified in EN 20139. The test shall be carried out in this atmosphere. 7 Procedure 7.1 Determine the overall width of the tapes in accordance with prEN 12240. From Table 1, determine the number of tapes with which to load the apparatus. Determine the effective width of the fastener in

29、 accordance with prEN 12240. 7.2 Calculate the total effective width as a function of the number of test specimens to be fixed to the drums. Apply a mass of (1 f 0,l) kg per centimetre of total effective width, to the top drum 7.3 Position and secure the female tape(s) on the bottom drum and the mal

30、e tape(s) to the top drum. Ensure that the two tapes are correctly aligned and in permanent contact with the whole surface of the drums 7.4 If it becomes difficult to keep the test specimens correctly aligned, or to keep them in contact with the drums, use double-sided adhesive tape to fix the backs

31、 of the tapes to the drums. 7.5 Pretension the tapes as shown in Figure A.2. Introduce the free ends of the tapes in the slots see A. ib) view CC. Apply a pretension to the specimen by positioning the metal rods see A.2.1 on the loose tape, so forming a loop. Evenly tighten the specimen on both uppe

32、r and lower rolls by using the revolving slots until the metal rods are as close as possible to the rolls. Remove the metal rods, Then tighten the tapes completely. Secure the revolving slots by using the screws. 7.6 Start up the apparatus for the specified number of opening and closing cycles. 7.7

33、At the end of the test, remove the test specimens from the apparatus and remove the parts that have not been subjected to opening and closing cycles.
