Sal

2、ient Characteristics. The bag shall be 2-1/8 (5 1/8 inch) for the width of the bottom and 9-1/4 (2 1/8 inch) for the sides, and shall be made of a laminated cloth. The color of the base cloth before laminating shall be Olive Green 106 and the color of the coating used to bind the two layers of base

3、cloth shall be Olive Green 207. The thread shall be dyed Camouflage Green, CG-483, C.A. 66022, and shall have good color fastness to laundering and good colorfastness to light after 20 hours of exposure. The bag shall have a 1 inch wide by 2 inches long (2 1/8 inch) hook and loop fastener tape stitc

4、hed to the pouch and shall be either Black 3230 or Camouflage Green, CG-483. The bag shall have a 5-3/4 (i 1/8 inch) in length webbing belt strap (Camouflage Green, CG-483) stitched on the back of the bag. The bag shall have a snap fastener button through the end of the webbing belt strap. The butto

5、n shall be positioned so that the opening symbol (dot) on the button shall be towards the bottom of the bag. The bag shall have a three-way locking snap fastener stud on the back. A commercial type label is acceptable, provided that an additional printed cloth label containing the contractors name, contract number, size and NSN is caught in the stitching of the commercial label. The label shall be located under the front flap and centered under the hook fastener tape with

9、the top edge of the stamped label adjacent to the bottom edge of the hook fastener tape. The commercial label shall include fiber content information. Workmanship. The finished bag shall be thoroughly cleaned, and all loose thread, lint, and foreign matter removed. The items shall be uniform in qual

10、ity and shall be free from irregularities or defects which adversely affect appearance, performance, reliability, or durability. Patterns. The government shall furnish a single size pattern. The contractor is responsible for grading patterns for additional sizes. Commercial patterns may be used in l

11、ieu of the government furnished pattern provided they conform to the cited design and finished measurements. Product Demonstration Model. When required, offerers shall submit bag of their intended production. The Product Demonstration Model shall consist of units independently developed. Product Dem

12、onstration Models shall be analyzed and evaluated by the government. Evaluation criteria and basis for award are contained in the solicitation. Product Demonstration Models shall be retained by the government. Quality Assurance Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered mee

13、ts the salient characteristics of this description and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be other

14、wise provided for, under the provisions of the contract. Examination. Lots of one bag shall be inspected in accordance with “Sampling Procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes“, ANSI/ASQC 21.4, published by the American Society for Quality Control. Visual Examination. The inspection level f

15、or visual examination shall be II and the AQL 2.5 major and 6.5 total defects per hundred units. The sample unit is one bag. Dimensional Examination. The finished bag shall conform to the dimensions specified. Any dimension that is not within the established tolerance shall be classified as a defect

The fully pac

17、kaged shipping containers shall be examined in accordance with defects listed below. The lot size shall be the number of shipping containers in the inspection lot. The inspection level shall be S-1 and AQL shall be 2.5 defects per hundred units. Examination Defect Ma teria 1 Content Missing, damaged

18、, not as required. Number of bags per shipping container is more or less than required. Defects. any hole, cut, tear, mend or drop stitch; broken or missing thread or stitch; needle chew; delamination, crease, wrinkle or laminated cloth color not as specified; permanent spot or stain, removable spot

19、 or stain; thread ends not trimmed; any component part not as specified or omitted; label omitted, incorrect, illegible or misplaced; seam puckered, distorted, pleated, irregular or open; loose or tight stitch tension; seam allowance not as specified; fastener tape not positioned properly; eyelet or

20、 button of snap fastener improperly clinched, roll of clinched eyelet has more than two scores, eyelet or button of snap fastener reversed, dot on button of belt straps not pointed toward bottom of bag. The bag shall be examined for the following defects: Requlatory requirements. use recovered mater

21、ials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to Packaqinq, Packinq, Markinq and Palletization. Packaging, packing marking and palletization shall be in accordance with ASTM-D 3951, Standard Practice for Commercial Packaging, as spe

22、cified for shipments to the Department of Defense, including Section 7. Unitized loads, placing boxes on pallets, shall be used whenever total quantity for shipment to one destination exceeds 250 pounds (excluding the pallet) or 20 cubic feet. Pallets shall have a length of 40 inches and a width of

23、48 inches. Pallet loads, including the pallet, shall not exceed 54 inches in height, 43 inches in length and 52 inches in width.
