Amendments This standard differs from DIN 16834:2007-05 as follows: a) A table on the allowable working pressures for PE-RT type I has been included, taking into consideration the reference lines for the long-term hydrostatic
11、strength of PE-RT type I given in the revised edition of DIN 16833. b) The title of the standard has been changed. c) The standard now also covers PE-RT type II and the relevant tables on the allowable working pressures for PE-RT type II have been added. d) The minimum wall thickness for pipes with
12、an outside diameter 10 mm. The mean measured value shall lie within the specified tolerances. 8 DIN 16834:2009-10 6 Allowable working pressures 6.1 Allowable working pressures for pipes conveying water The allowable working pressures specified in Tables 4 to 7 have been calculated using equation (3)
13、 on the basis of long-term hydrostatic strengths taken from the reference lines given in DIN 16833 and taking a safety factor SF into consideration. 10SFS= p (3) where p is the allowable working pressure, in bar1); is the relevant long-term hydrostatic strength taken from the reference lines in DIN
14、16833, in MPa; S is the pipe series number taken from ISO 4065 (calculated value). 6.2 Allowable working pressures for pipes conveying other liquids In the case of pipes conveying liquids which can be hazardous when not handled properly, it is recommended that further information be obtained from th
