6、0 Foreword This BritishStandard, prepared under the direction of the Aerospace Standards Committee, is one of a series for textiles of a quality suitable for aerospace purposes and replaces MOD specification UK/AID/976. During its preparation, the applicable basic quality requirements contained in B

7、S F100 have been included in the text. The standard specifies the requirements for a coated fabric intended primarily for the manufacture of lightweight covers for aircraft. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are resp

8、onsible for their correct application. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations. 10、olyethylene rubber. NOTE 1The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover. NOTE 2The latest revision of an Aerospace Series Standard is indicated by a prefix number. 2 General requirements In addition to the specific requirements of clauses3 to8, the f

11、ollowing clauses of the latest issue of BSF100 shall apply(seeTable 1). Table 1 General requirements (given in BSF100) 3 Material The base textile shall comply with the requirements of BS F127 fabric number6 and shall be supplied loomstate. 4 Manufacture 4.1 The base textile shall be coated on one s

12、ide with a pigmented compound containing not less than: a) 60% by mass of chlorosulphonated polyethylene; and b) one part of a non-staining antioxidant per hundred parts of elastomer. 4.2 The coated fabric shall be vulcanized to comply with5.3. 4.3 The colour of the coating shall be in accordance wi

13、th BS381C. 5 Properties of coated fabric 5.1 The coated fabric shall comply with5.2 and5.3 and Table 2. 5.2 The waterproofness of the coated fabric shall be tested in accordance with section three of BS F100 except that the water pressure shall be18kPa. 5.3 When tested in accordance with method25B o

14、f BS3424-22:1983, the coating shall show no signs of tackiness. 6 Type tests The type tests shown in Table 2 shall be performed on the initial batch of each contract and thereafter at intervals not exceeding5000m of fabric or whenever a change is made to the coating formulation. 7 Packaging 7.1 The

15、coated fabric shall be rolled evenly on tubes longer than the width of the fabric. 7.2 Each roll of coated fabric shall be wrapped in black polyethylene film having a nominal thickness of0.15mm. Each end of a roll shall be sealed to prevent contamination for example by water, oil and dust. NOTEAt6-m

16、onthly intervals the rolls should be undone, re-rolled and re-packaged to avoid build-up of heat within the roll. 7.3 The outer wrapping shall carry the complete identification marking and state the length of fabric. 8 Identification 8.1 The fabric shall be identified by the number of this BritishSt

17、andard, i.e.BS F136:1989 1)together with the colour required. NOTEThis identification may be codified. For example, fabric required coloured NATO green may be identified as BSF136:1989BS381C285 NATO green. 8.2 If marking of the fabric is required, the marking medium used shall comply with Appendix B

18、 of BSF100. NOTEThe purchaser should state in the contract or order if marking is required.
