The work of preparing International
16、 Standards is normally carried out through IS0 technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, a
17、lso take part in the work. IS0 collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. The botanical names have been revised according to the European Flora and the latest works of the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA), and this has also led to the inclusion of certain plants used both as spices and as aromatic condiments.
