15、-2000 1 1 Scope This technical report describes the contents of calibration tapes for various broadcast VTRs. The objective in using a calibration tape is to adjust the machine so that it will give optimum reproduction of a first-generation verified recording. The calibration signals recorded under

16、controlled conditions on a machine corresponding to the relevant VTR standard. The calibration procedure involves playing back the tape while making the necessary operational adjustments as described in the manufacturers manual. In addition, trial recordings and the adjustment of the record chain se

17、ttings should lead to a similar play-back quality as obtained from the calibration tape. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this technical report.
