27、tandards. If these standards are adopted for governmental use, the reference of other national codes or standards in individual volumes may be changed to refer to the corresponding regulations. Revisions: The A10 Committee welcomes proposals for revisions to this standard. Revisions are made to the

28、standard periodically (usually five years from the date of the standard) to incorporate changes that appear necessary or desirable, as demonstrated by experience gained from the application of the standard. Proposals should be as specific as possible, citing the relevant section number(s), the propo

29、sed wording, and the reason for the proposal. Pertinent documentation would enable the A10 Committee to process the changes in a more timely manner. Interpretations: Upon a request in writing to the Secretariat, the A10 Committee will render an interpretation of any requirement of the standard. The

30、request for interpretation should be clear, citing the relevant section number(s) and phrased as a request for a clarification of a specific requirement. Oral interpretations are not provided. 40、and a 200 lb. (90.7kg) load applied in the downward or outward direction. Midrail shall be able to withstand a 150 lb. (68kg) load applied in the downward or outward direction. Toeboard shall be able to withstand a 50 lb. (22.7kg) load applied in the downward or outward direction. 5.7 Fall Protectio

41、n. Provisions shall be made for anchoring fall protection equipment, such as lanyards from a height as high or higher than the dorsal D-ring to limit free fall distance. 5.8 Grab Rail. A recessed grab rail shall be provided all the way around the inside of the suspended work platform to minimize han

42、d exposure to minimize exposure to surfaces or obstructions that could contact the outside of the platform. 5.9 Stability. The suspension system shall minimize tipping of the platform due to movement of the personnel using the platform. Movement in any direction shall be limited to keep the platform

43、 from swinging. Hoisting of personnel on the platform shall be performed in a slow, controlled, cautious manner with no sudden movements of the crane, derrick, or platform. 5.10 Access Height. A head clearance of 7 feet (2.1m) shall be provided from the platform floor when the platform is equipped w

44、ith a canopy. 6. SUSPENDED WORK PLATFORM CONSTRUCTION 6.1 Edges. All edges shall be smooth. 6.2 Weld Inspection. All welds shall meet American Welding Society/ manufacturers standards/weld detail and shall be inspected visually by a qualified person. 6.3 Welding Competence. All welding on work platf

45、orms shall be performed by a certified welder. 6.4 Attachment Points. Suspended platforms shall have four attachment points. 7. SUSPENDED WORK PLATFORM TESTING AND INSPECTION 7.1 Frequency of Inspection. The platform and rigging shall be at a minimum inspected daily by a competent person prior to be

46、ing used. 7.2 Proof Testing. At each new set-up location, prior to hoisting employees in the suspended work platform, the platform and rigging shall be proof-tested to 150 percent of the platforms rated capacity. This shall be done by holding it in a suspended position for five minutes with the Copy

After proof testing any deficiencies revealed during an inspection by the qualified person shall be corrected and another proof test shall be conducted. A dated, signed copy of the proof test shall be maintained at the jobsite. 7.3 Trial Run. Immediately prior to placing personnel in the platform, a trial run shall be made by the operator with the suspended platform from the ground to all proposed work elevations to ascertain that: 1) the boom configuration and load lines are adequate; 2) no interferences exist
