、 _ Foreword This standard test method presents information on carbon dioxide (CO2) environment testing at pressures greater than atmospheric pressure and temperatures of 50C (122F) or greater.(1)It is intended to serve as a tool in the evaluation of elastomeric materials for use in the oil field and
、 other energy-related areas where CO2gaseous environments are encountered. The use of one standard test method allows engineers who evaluate these materials to compare data from separate laboratories that use this method. The precision of this test method and reproducibility within and among laborat
、ories has not been established. The user of this standard is encouraged to establish statistical significance of the data resulting from this test method. Other technical organizations may have comparable standard test methods. No attempt or implication is made to establish any pass/fail criteria fo
、r material tested by this method. The change in properties of an elastomeric material is indicative of its resistance to a specific environment. This test method can be regarded only as a relative measure of the resistance of a material under the conditions of this particular test, and does not nece

This standard was originally prepared in 1997 by NACE International Task Group T-1G-26, a component of Unit Committee T-1G on Protective
