SCOPE This standard is used to determine the relative proportions of animal hair and rubber in textile fabrics, felts, cotton wools, fleece

3、s etc. 2. DEFINITION 2.1. Proportions of animal hair and rubber: To be defined as the relative quantities of animal hair and rubber in the test material expressed as a percentage by weight. 3. TEST PIECES AND NUMBER OF TEST PIECES 3.1. The test pieces weighing approx. 3g and covering the entire thic

4、kness of the material shall be taken. For formed parts where the relevant drawing stipulates a “test area“, the test piece shall be taken from this area. 3.2. For initial sample approval and arbitration purposes, at least 2 test pieces, and for routine quality control at least 1 test piece shall be

5、tested. 4. CONDITIONING 4.1. Non rubberized materials For initial sample approval and arbitration purposes, the test piece shall be maintained for at least 24 hours at a temperature of +202K and a relative humidity of (656)% prior to testing. For routine quality control, the test shall be carried ou

6、t on test pieces in as the received condition without special conditioning. 4.2. Rubberized materials For initial sample approval, arbitration purposes, and for routine quality control, the test piece shall be aged for at least 2 hours at a temperature of +1202.5K and then cooled down for at least 1

7、 hour at a temperature of +235K in a dessicator prior to testing. 5. APPARATUS 5.1. Humidity chamber capable of maintaining a temperature of +202K and a relative humidity of (656)%. 5.2. Cutting dies or shears for preparation of the test piece. 5.3. Glass beaker. min capacity 300ml. 5.4. Balance wit

8、h an accuracy of 0.01g. 5.5. Sieve of thin wires: 0.5 DIN 4188 SHEET 1 or 500m BS 410 5.6. Oven capable of maintaining a temperature of +1202.5K. 9、2006. 06. 19 VERSION: 2 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 5.7. Dessicator with silica gel. 6. TEST MEDIA 6.1. 5% w/v solution of sodium hydroxide NaOH in water. 6.2. De-ionised water. 7. PROCEDURE The test shall be performed after conditioning or in the as received condition, unless otherwise specified, t

10、he test shall be performed at the test temperature of +235K. 7.1. The test piece shall be accurately weighed to within 0.01g and placed in the glass beaker. 7.2. 150ml of the 5% NaOH solution shall be added and boiled for (305) minutes to decompose the animal hair portion. 7.3. The insoluble residue

11、 (the rubber portion) shall be separated from the liquid using the sieve and thoroughly washed with de-ionised water. 7.4. Residue 7.4.1. The residue from the non rubberized material shall be dried for at least 16 hours at +702.5K, and subsequently re-conditioned to Clause 4.1 if necessary. 7.4.2. T

12、he residue from the rubberized material shall be re-conditioned according to the requirements of clause 7.5. The residue shall be accurately weighed to within 0.01g. 8. EVALUATIONS The proportions of animal hair and rubber shall be calculated from following formula. 8.1. Proportion of animal hair 10
