3、ects and replaced by GMW14117 and GMW14578. 1. PURPOSE This specification determines test methods and requirements of a cup holder. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to the cup holder equipped to interior part for DWMC-manufactured vehicle(passenger car, multipurpose car). 3. SPECIMEN QUANTITY 3.1. Acc

4、ording to test methods, completed products or a part of the products shall be used for a test sample. Minimum 3 pieces are needed for approval test and minimum 1 piece each for quality examination and incoming inspection. 3.2. For temperature resistance, impact resistance, operation durability test

5、and operation power test, test samples shall be tested equipped to a instrument panel and assembly, and for color fastness a test sample shall be used which is acquired from a flat part of completed products. 4. APPROVAL Cup holders released to this specification shall be the same as the approved pr

6、oducts. If any changes happen to the approved products, DWMC Technical centers approval is needed. But, test samples for DVP(Design Verification Plan) can be separately discussed. 5. PRE-TREATMENT Unless otherwise specified, the test shall be performed as delivered without pre-treatment. 6. TEST APP

7、ARATUS 6.1. Forced circulation oven which can keep required temperature at 2.5 K. 6.2. Cold chamber which can keep temperature down at -403 K. 6.3. Hot chamber unit (infrared radiation irradiated chamber) which temperature is controllable from a room temperature up to 150. 6.4. Apparatus for impact

8、resistance test 6.5. Weather-O-meter(xenon-arc type) described in 5.1 of EDS-T-7415. Pushpull gauge - the operatin

9、g range shall be max. three times the operating effort and have 5% of precision. In some cases, it is acceptable to use a tension gauge. 6.7. Operation durability test equipment 6.7.1. Fixing jig. 6.7.2. Air pressure cylinder& Control box. 7. REQUIREMENT 7.1. Cup holders for a test sample shall show

10、 no crazes, cracks or other defects. 7.2. All materials for a cup holder shall be specified in drawings. 7.3. Organically coated plastic cup holders shall meet the detailed requirement of the Table 2 in EDS-T-7041 7.4. Additional requirements other than the specified points in the below test methods

11、 and evaluations shall be specified separately in related drawings. 8. TEST METHOD 8.1. Temperature resistance 8.1.1. Under the test conditions in 5.2 of EDS-T-7041(test method of a instrument panel), the test shall be conducted. 8.1.2. After the test, there shall be no wrinkles, changes in color, s

12、urface and size etc. 8.2. Impact resistance 8.2.1. After placing a cup holder in the cold chamber at -30 for 4 hrs according to EDS-T-7503, apply 1 J of impact energy by free falling a steel ball. 8.2.2. After the test, visual check shall show no cracks or breaks. 8.3. Color fastness 8.3.1. Accordin

13、g to EDS-T-7415-B, a test specimen shall be exposed to radiation source. 8.3.2. Unless otherwise specified in drawings, min. 7 grade of EDS-T-7415-B shall be satisfied. 8.4. Operating effort test 8.4.1. Test method (1) Cup holder shall be installed at the test jig in the same condition with a vehicl

(3) With a push-pull gauge, measure the open/close effort at handle part under l

15、oad to operate direct. 8.4.2. Requirement (1) During the initial opening/closing and removal, a ash tray shall operate smoothly without noise, shake or hitch (2) Unless otherwise specified, operating efforts before and after the operation durability test for each type are as follows : - Cup holder o

18、: 5 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology (2) Unlock the CUP HOLDER so it can be opened and measure the time until the inner case is completely stopped. (3) Measuring equipment shall be either speed indicator which can measure time using FIBER SENSOR or STOP WATCH that measures up to 1/100 seconds. (4) The in

19、spector shall measure 5 times and evaluate the median. (5) Time shall be measured 4 times, at the beginning, after durability test at normal temperature, after durability at high temperature, after durability test at low temperature. Measure at normal temperature after durability test at each temper

20、ature is completed. 8.5.2. Requirement Unless otherwise specified in drawings, operating time before and after the operation durability test shall be 10.5 sec, enable open at low temperature(-30). 8.6. Operation durability test 8.6.1. Test method Unless otherwise specified, making opening/closing 1

21、cycle, the test shall be conducted at a speed of 4 cycles/1 min in the following order Test Order Temperature Cycle number 1 Room temperature 3,000 2 70 500 3 -30 500 8.6.2. Requirement After the test under each temperature condition, there shall be no breaks, noise, abrasion, problems with opening/

22、closing, and shakes. 8.7. Operation power test Drawer-Slide & push-push type of a ash tray shall be tested for the following items. 8.7.1. Test method (1) Set with a cup holder open. (2) With Push-push gauge, apply 10 Kgf of load to the direction P(Horizontal direction) see Fig. 2. (3) Apply 5 Kgf o

23、f load to the direction W(vertical direction). see Fig. 2 8.7.2. Requirement No removal and permanent deformation of a ash tray shall be shown. CODING SYSTEM This specification shall be specified in drawings or specifications as follows: “To meet EDS-T-4103” Additional requirements other than those in this standard shall be indicated in drawings and shall prevail over this standard 10.
