SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) adaptable to high temperature service conditions. 2. APPLICATION This specifi
3、cation was released originally for material used for oil seals in automotive transmissions and hydraulic systems of cars, trucks and tractors. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements F
4、or Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 SLAB STOCK 3.1.1 Original Properties Tensile Strength, min 1,500 psi (ASTM D 412) (10.3 MPa) Elongation, min 250% (ASTM D 412) Hardness, Durometer “A“ 65 - 70 (ASTM D 2240) 3.1.2 Immersion in ASTM Oil #1 (ASTM D 471, aluminum block, 168 h at 150 +/- 2 C)
5、 Tensile Strength Change, max -20% Elongation Change, max -60% Volume Change -6 to 0% Volume change to be determined on typical seals in addition to slab stock from same batch of material.
