Figure A2.4.2 3.1.14 Revision Balloons 3.1.14.1 Re
3、vision Description entries must form a clear record of every step in a change and be readily located on the body of the drawing. As such, each change is located on the body of the drawing using a Revision Balloon containing a revision letter and its number index enclosed in a 6mm diameter circle or
4、elongated circle 6mm high for 2 characters or more. The Revision Balloons shall be placed on the drawing as close to the area of change as is practical, see Figure A-2.6. NOTE: It is permissible to add leader(s) with an arrowhead to a revision balloon to identify the area of change. 3.1.14.2 Previou
5、s Revision Balloons may be removed from the drawing as an aid to clarity when a change occurs that causes a Revision Balloon to be repositioned or when the change itself causes the Revision Balloon to have no meaning. A note will be placed in the Revision Column to identify the deletion, for example

7、: Changes to or removal of existing dimensions, part numbers, etc., or where further data are added. In this case, each separate revision is identified and recorded as shown in Figure A2.5. 3.1.15.1.2 CATEGORY B: Revisions which involve notes being removed or revised, or extensive dimensional additi
8、ons and removals, not replacing each other directly. In this case, a general statement is made indicating what is being done, for example repositioned holes, redimensioned flange, etc. 3.1.15.2 It is permissible to place one Revision Balloon on the drawing to identify the general location of the num
9、erous associated changes, or to show where a note has been removed or revised. 3.1.15.3 Obviously categories A and B may occur on any drawing at the same time and the individual practices outlined for each are still valid. 11、The Revision Index Balloons are placed just inside the upper border line enclosed in 6mm diameter circles or elongated circles vertically in line with each corresponding Revision Balloon. See Figure A2.6. On drawings which have been the subject of numerous changes, the previous Revision Index Balloo
12、ns, located at the top of the drawing, may be removed for clarity. NOTE: Revision Index Balloons are not required when the Zoning concept of paragraph 3.1.13.1.1 is used. 14、the creation of a new part and require a new suffix, which will be advised by the design responsible engineer. The change indicator (last letter of suffix) must be revised to the next letter, and the change recorded in revision block. The responsibility for the determination of the suffix belongs to
15、 the engineer responsible for the component. Consult FAP03145 for policies regarding the determination of the prefix and suffix of the part number. 3.1.17.2 For a drawing that has a single component on it, please reference Figure A2.7 for an example of how to address: 3.1.17.2.1 A part change withou
16、t a suffix change. 3.1.17.2.2 A part change with a suffix change. NOTE: It is permissible to add in parentheses to the right of the Ford part number, the equivalent supplier part number that is being revised in the change. 18、nd the Change Level Indicator of one or more of the shown-on parts suffix is revised, their previous suffix level must be noted in the revision block with the remarks “REMOVED XR2E6A286CA” and “RELEASED XR2E6A286CB” to release the new part number. 21、d/Blanket Changes 3.1.18.1 These are changes that revise the component to facilitate manufacturing but do not affect cost, fit or function. With these changes, the suffix of the part is not allowed to change. See Figure A2.10. 3.1.18.2 Actions not allowed with Record Changes include: 3.1.18.2.1 Any
22、change to a part number (Added/Revised/Deleted). 3.1.18.2.2 Revisions that result in piece cost, tooling, or weight variance. 3.1.18.2.3 Revisions to material or engineering specifications.
