8、ification shall take precedence. 3 RWUIREMENTS 3.1 Specification sheets. The individual itenq- requirements shall be as specified herein and in accordgnce withthe applicable specification sheets, In the event of any conflict between .requirements f this specification and the specification sheet, the

9、 latter shall govern, 3.2 Vaterialsi. Recycled and reclaimed materials (see 3.1) shall be used to the maximum extent practicable. 3.2.1 Carbon steel. Carbon steel pins shall be cold drawn low carbon steel wire or cold finished bar. The steel shall conform to one of the 1100 or 1200 series of FED-STD

10、-66 and shall have a minimum ultimate shear strength of 441 MPa. 3.3 Dhensions, Dimensions and tolerances for al1 types of pins shall conform the dimensional requirements of the applicable specification sheet and shall apply after protective finishes, 3 b4 Performance characteristicg, The pins shall

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIOMS 4.1 ResDonsibilitv for insDection, Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the

15、 contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Governmentb The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification w

16、here such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirementsb 4 b2 classification of inmections b The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. The requirements for packaging shall be in accordance with PPP-H- I 58 1 (see 6 2) 6, NOTES 6.1 Intended use. Pins covered by this specification are intended for use in

24、 such application where threaded fasteners might be used, but where use of headed groove pins afford rapid application and greater economy, 6 ,2 Ordering data.
