This standard contains specification

7、s meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the new “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirement

8、s of the directive. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). DIN EN 1870-4:2012-06 EN 1870-4:2012 (E) 6 Introduction This document has been prepared to be a harmonised standard to provide one means of conforming to the essential safety requirements of the Machinery Directive and associated EFTA regulations. This document is a type “C“ standard as defined in

44、 EN ISO 12100:2010. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this document. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this typ

45、e C standard take precedence over the provisions of other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. The requirements of this document are directed to manufacturers and their authorised representatives of multi-blade rip sawing mach

46、ines. They are also useful for designers. This document also includes provisions and examples of information to be provided by the manufacturer to the user. 47、 all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events as listed in Clause 4 which are relevant to stationary multi-blade rip sawing machines, hereinafter referred to as “machines”, designed to cut solid wood, chipboard, fibreboard, plywood and also these materials, if they are covered with plast

48、ic edging and/or plastic/light alloy laminates, when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer including reasonably foreseeable misuse; see also 6.3.
