Place one three-dimensional replica on each side of the specimen to fa

32、cilitate comparative rating (Note 2). The overhead fluorescent light shall be the only source of illumination for the viewing board, and all other lights shall be turned off. With the observer standing directly in front of the specimen, 1.25 m away from the board, assign to the specimen the number o

33、f the replica that most nearly matches the appearance of the test specimen, to the nearest half unit. Evaluate the other specimens in a like manner. Repeat the above rating procedure on the same three test specimens with a second, then a third independent observer. CALCULATION Average the nine ratin

34、gs assigned to the specimens (three judgements on each of the three specimens). REPORT Report the following information: The average of the nine ratings to the nearest half unit. The number of the washing procedure used (e.g., CAN/CGSB-4.2 No. 58-M, Procedure il). The drying method used (drip, flat,
