CSA Standard CANICSA-C22.2 No. 1 82.4-M90 now consists of the following p
17、ages: 314 and 1723 dated May 1990; and 15 and 16 dated March 1992. These replacement pages are to be inserted into your copy of the Standard; the pages replaced should be kept for reference. 4.5.3.4 An insulating lining or barrier used where spacings would otherwise be unacceptable shall be not less
18、 than 0.8 mm thick except as follows: (a) an insulating material not less than 0.4 mm thick may be used in conjunction with an air spacing of not less than 50% of the spacing required for air alone; (b) snap or plugin type connectors such as shown in Figure 2 shall maintain a spacing between live co
19、nductors or parts of opposite polarity of not less than 0.36 mm; (c) wire insulation displacement or piercing type terminals requiring insertion tools shall maintain a minimum spacing of 1.2 mm between terminals; and (d) wire wrap type terminals shall maintain a spacing between live conductors or pa
20、rts of opposite polarity of not less than 3.2 mm. 4.5.3.5 Spacings less than specified in Clause 4.5.3.4 shall be permitted if a device meets the dielectric strength test specified in Clause 6.6. 4.6 Contacts 4.6.1 A receptacle or connector rated above 30 V rms that is intended for use external to e
21、quipment shall have no exposed live contacts and terminals, when assembled as intended, as determined by the probe test of Clause 6.8.1. 4.6.2* When tested in accordance with Clause 6.8.2, mating devices shall not have exposed live contacts during engagement or withdrawal. *Effective Date-March 31,
22、1992 4.6.3* When tested in accordance with Clause 6.8.3, the contact pins of a modular type receptacle that are accessible without the use of a tool and can be contacted by the probe in Figure lB shall be positioned, shaped, recessed, or the like to reduce the risk of injury to persons. *Effectjve D

Marking 5.1 Marking on Product The manufacturers name or other recognized iden
