CSA Standard CANICSA-C22.2 No. 1 82.4-M90 now consists of the following p

These replacement pages are to be inserted into your copy of the Standard; the pages replaced should be kept for reference. 4.5.3.4 An insulating lining or barrier used where spacings would otherwise be unacceptable shall be not less

    18、 than 0.8 mm thick except as follows: (a) an insulating material not less than 0.4 mm thick may be used in conjunction with an air spacing of not less than 50% of the spacing required for air alone; (b) snap or plugin type connectors such as shown in Figure 2 shall maintain a spacing between live co

    19、nductors or parts of opposite polarity of not less than 0.36 mm; (c) wire insulation displacement or piercing type terminals requiring insertion tools shall maintain a minimum spacing of 1.2 mm between terminals; and (d) wire wrap type terminals shall maintain a spacing between live conductors or pa

    20、rts of opposite polarity of not less than 3.2 mm. 4.5.3.5 Spacings less than specified in Clause 4.5.3.4 shall be permitted if a device meets the dielectric strength test specified in Clause 6.6. 4.6 Contacts 4.6.1 A receptacle or connector rated above 30 V rms that is intended for use external to e

    21、quipment shall have no exposed live contacts and terminals, when assembled as intended, as determined by the probe test of Clause 6.8.1. 4.6.2* When tested in accordance with Clause 6.8.2, mating devices shall not have exposed live contacts during engagement or withdrawal. *Effective Date-March 31,

    22、1992 4.6.3* When tested in accordance with Clause 6.8.3, the contact pins of a modular type receptacle that are accessible without the use of a tool and can be contacted by the probe in Figure lB shall be positioned, shaped, recessed, or the like to reduce the risk of injury to persons. *Effectjve D

    23、ate-January 31, 1992 4.7 Polarization A polarized device incorporating two or more contacts shall be keyed or of such design that any intended polarization will not be defeated by improper assembly during installation. 5. Marking 5.1 Marking on Product The manufacturers name or other recognized iden

    24、tification symbol shall be marked on each device in a permanent manner.     25、in both volts and amperes; and (c) whether ac or dc, if restricted. Assembly or tooling instructions and a reference to an appropriate parts list shall be provided, if applicable. 6. Tests 6.1 Accelerated Aging 6.1.1 Where required by Clause 4.2.5, an accelerated aging test shall be performed on mou

    26、lded rubber insulating material as specified in Clauses 6.1.2 and 6.1.3 or as specified in Clause 6.1.4 for materials other than rubber. 6.1.2 A moulded rubber component shall show no apparent deterioration nor any greater change in hardness than five numbers, when, gauged as described in Clause 6.1

    27、.3, it is exposed for 96 h to oxygen at a pressure of 2070 70 kPa and a temperature of 70 1C. 6.1.3 Where possible, the complete component shall be tested. The hardness of the rubber shall be determined as the average of five readings with a suitable gauge such as the Rex Hardness Gauge or the Shore

    28、 Durometer. The component shall be exposed to oxygen for 96 h, in accordance with CSA Standard C22.2 No. 0.3, Clause 4.3.2, using the method for exposure to accelerated aging (oxygen pressure) of extruded insulation, jackets, and similar coverings. The device shall be allowed to condition at room te

    29、mperature for 4 h or more after removal from the oxygen bomb. The hardness shall be determined again as the average of five readings. The difference between the average original hardness reading and the average reading taken after exposure to oxygen shall be the change in hardness. 6.1.4* A device t

    30、hat has a body of moulded material other than rubber shall show no cracks or other visible signs of deterioration as the result of exposure for 7 d in a circulating air oven at a temperature of 70 1C. *Effective DateJanuary 31, 1992 6.2 Lead Security The termination of individual leads shall be capa

    31、ble of withstanding a direct pull at the value of the force as specified in Table 1 for a period of 1 mm, without separation or damage to the connection.
